Juicy chicken breasts smothered in garlic butter and melty cheese, baked until bubbly and golden. A comforting, crowd-pleasing dinner made in under 40 minutes.
2 large chicken breasts (sliced or pounded)
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter, divided
4–5 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp heavy cream or chicken broth
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella
¼ cup grated Parmesan
Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet. Sear chicken for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove.
Add remaining butter and garlic to skillet. Sauté 1 minute. Stir in cream or broth.
Return chicken to pan. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
Bake 12–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and chicken is cooked through.
Garnish with herbs and serve warm.
Broil 1–2 minutes for extra golden cheese.
