A sweet, savory, and ultra-fast Korean-inspired ground beef bowl served over rice. A 20-minute dinner perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • 34 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 23 tbsp brown sugar (to taste)

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 23 green onions, sliced

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish

  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

  • Add garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.

  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken the sauce.

  • Spoon over cooked rice and top with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed veggies or a fried egg.

  • Use tamari for gluten-free.

  • Freeze cooked beef for up to 3 months.
