Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1 ¼ cups milk or buttermilk

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 6 strips cooked bacon (for antlers)

  • 1 banana (for eyes)

  • Mini chocolate chips (for pupils)

  • Raspberries or strawberries (for nose)

  • Syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  2. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, butter, and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grease lightly. Pour batter into large and small rounds.

  4. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden.

  5. Arrange large pancake on plate. Add bacon as antlers, banana slices with chocolate chips for eyes, and a berry for the nose.

  6. Serve with syrup.

Notes

  • Use pretzels for antlers as a bacon alternative.

  • Let kids decorate their own pancakes.

  • Make ahead and freeze for holiday prep.
